Travel Tuesday: Conference Calls and ONT-DIA-BMH

Good morning from California! Man I miss this place. I came out here for my day off between two back to back conferences. In a few short hours, I will board yet another plane and head back to the other side of our great country.

But first I need to touch base with our team on our weekly conference call. Being in a different time zone I thought I would be the prudent employee and get up early and be ready for the call (after all, I did volunteer last week to take notes). So- what is this worthy to write about? Well, I got up early and got situated in my friends apartment; phone charging, computer plugged in and connected to our company VPN, email open and ready.. the works. And then as I cleaned out my in box I noticed an email reminding me that our team meeting was moved to 1pm today!

Lovely! I got up early- for no real reason. But I also noticed that the meeting is during the time I will be at the airport… so of course, trying to be proactive I email our team to ask if someone else can take notes and fill me in later. Well, as I hit send I realized that due to the time change I am still able to be on the call. So I send another email. blah. I must look like I am not prepared or paying attention to anything right now!

I hope the rest of my travel day goes well. I’m connecting through Denver and not Chicago or Atlanta so I should be fine. But, here’s to a good and smooth Travel Tuesday! See you in Birmingham, AL!
